This study aims to 1) analyze the factors that cause deviant behavior in the use of glue in students of SMP Negeri 4 Palopo, 2) to determine the psychological impact on students and 3) how to deal with Guidance and Counseling teachers. This study uses a qualitative case study approach by examining the behavior of students who abuse glue in students of SMP Negeri 4 Palopo. The data were obtained from informants, namely, students and parents, Guidance and Counseling Teachers, Principals, Deputy Principals for Student Affairs, BNN and Rumah Rehab Hati. Methods of collecting data by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies and triangulation. The data analysis uses an interactive model of qualitative data analysis that continues until it is complete. The results showed that there was glue abuse behavior by students of SMP Negeri 4 Palopo. The misuse of glue is caused by the weak self-defense of students to try and environmental factors in the form of a less conducive school environment, substances that are easy and cheap to obtain, economic and family factors, peer influence, and a sense of loyalty to students' friends. The role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in efforts to prevent and handle students cannot be separated from the functions, principles and objectives of guidance and counseling whose implementation is carried out by way of direction and information through classical services, individual counseling and consultation with parents.
