Model Evolusioner dan Revolusioner Perubahan Organisasi

Abstract

Alasan perubahan organisasi, ruang lingkup perubahan, dan intensitas perubahan bervariasi. Perubahan dapat terjadi karena manajer bereaksi terhadap perubahan lingkungan atau karena mereka mengantisipasi keadaan lingkungan organisasi di masa depan. Kadang-kadang perubahan terjadi secara bertahap, membiarkan organisasi berkembang dari keadaan sekarang ke keadaan masa depan. Perubahan inkremental tersebut tidak mempengaruhi semua sistem organisasi. Perubahan juga dapat memiliki efek yang lebih dramatis pada sebuah organisasi. Pergeseran strategis, misalnya, dapat memiliki efek yang hampir revolusioner pada seluruh organisasi dengan memengaruhi desain organisasi, desain pekerjaan, organisasi informal, dan proses pendukung. Para peneliti telah mengusulkan dua model yang kontras dari perubahan organisasi yang direncanakan untuk menjelaskan dua jenis perubahan ini: model evolusioner dan model revolusioner. Model menggambarkan proses perubahan yang berbeda untuk perubahan evolusioner dan revolusioner.
